Seven wonders of the world
There are different "Seven Wonders of the World" every year. In a couple of years, Angkor Wat made it into the top seven wonders. What makes the nominees for the Seven Wonders of the World so famous and interesting is that, there is always a big question on how it was built. Each site has its own significance.
Angkor Wat
Angkor Wat was built in a length of time of thirty-two years. This is an enigma because of the fact that Angkor Wat is bigger than most pyramids and uses more stone than all pyramids. The amount of stone that was carried from its nearest location which was twenty miles away was the size of a man. It weighed more than 500 pounds and each stone was carved perfectly and smoothly to fit on top of each other without a gap.
The Great wall of china
The Great Wall of China is also one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The Great Wall of China is the biggest wall on Earth and it's so big that you can see it from the satellites in space. It is placed in the northern part of China and was used in war and it still survives. It was built through many dynasties.
Taj Mahal
Taj Mahal is a cultural building built more than 3 million years ago. It was built by Mumtaz Mahal and the building represents "Love." Another significance about this building is that is is placed on top of a swamp, so nobody knows how it manages to stay standing.
Christ the redeemer
The statue of Christ the Redeemer is in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is known as the second largest art deco statue in the world. The statue is 39.3 meters high and the 9.5 meters pedestal it is on the mountain Corcovado
Colosseum
The Colosseum is a large building that was used for gladiator fighting or other battles in the time of the ancient romans. It used to be larger but now many parts of the building has been broken down and now it has turned into a large tourist attraction.
Chichen itza
Chichen Itza is a large cultural archaeologist site that is located in the northern center of Mexico. It was built by the Maya civilization. It was significant to the Maya tribe from 700 A.D ~ 1200 A.D. The temple has 365 steps, each side has 91 steps and the top makes the 365th.
